about

Song titles like What Good's a Rock Without a Roll? and Kiss Tried To Kill Me (it was Gene not Paul..) give an indication of their unhinged genius, but one thing is clear; this is a band to watch
 CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE 

Black Spiders are bound by no trend, or era as they cross generations to spawn their big, fuck-off dirty riffs, oozing with Black Sabbath seductiveness and uber-cool classic rock. Their energetic stage show, together with their apocalyptic three-man axe assault is awe-inspiring
 ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE 

It's Sheffield’s the Black Spiders who are the true revelation. The music itself is based in the American desert, a powerful mix of beardy stoner rock a’la Clutch, a Soundgarden wail from frontman Pete Spiby, and good old fashioned silliness. Excellent behaviour
 KERRANG MAGAZINE 

"Great vocals, monstrous guitar solos and relentless drumbeats.... these sleaze rockers are all about bringing
back the good old badass days of rock and roll!!"
 BIG CHEESE MAGAZINE 

We had Black Spiders in for a session live at Maida Vale and what a treat it was too, let me tell you…Absolutely the best rock band I’ve ever heard, I love this band…they are going to be massive!!!
 Daniel P Carter, Radio 1 rock show 

If you’re one of those people who like: a) the first three Black Sabbath albums, b) masturbating in church, or c) masturbating in church with Black Sabbath on your ipod, then you’re going to go absolutely fucknuts for The Black Spiders. Recalling the likes of Turbonegro, Zeke, or a less intellectual Afghan Whigs (that’s meant as a complement), this four piece peddle crotch-sodden sleaze-rock that touches upon questions of theology, violence and, naturally, major league rutting. They’re blatantly going to hell, but before they do, be sure to crack one off in their honour next time you’re in Bible class. 
 James Jam Editor of the NME 
